The opportunity was to harness generative AI to create a self-serve platform that automates content creation, offers actionable insights, supports eCommerce plan selection, automatically filters bad actors and fake news, and identifies potential candidates for cross-selling into the enterprise product, meeting emerging customer needs while opening a new revenue stream. Research, including sales conversations, competitive analysis, TAM evaluation, and product audits, revealed a clear market gap and projected $9.8 million in revenue over the first five years.
The project began by building a strong business case, translating insights into a leadership pitch complete with user flows, proof of concept, and detailed decks. The proposal highlighted both a standalone market opportunity and strategic benefits to the existing product ecosystem, while recommending the creation of a separate brand with a new business model. After leadership endorsement, a cross-functional tiger team was formed, complete with defined ceremonies and a clear project and resource plan.
Design focused on bringing the concept to life. Wireframes, style tiles, high-fidelity prototypes, and a design system were iterated through usability testing to ensure clarity, functionality, and seamless integration of AI-driven content automation, fake news detection, simple plan selection, and cross-sell insights. The go-to-market strategy included a dedicated website, alpha and beta testing, and support for scalable eCommerce transactions, laying the foundation for a user-ready AI platform positioned to capture a growing market.
